How do I get free ringtones on my phone?

I heard that you can only download a ringtone if you have internet on your phone, so that charges you. How do I get free ringtones without it being charged on my phone? By the way, I have virgin mobile.

3. You can't get free ringtones on certain phones, if you happen to have an older phone your going to have to use a service, the one I use is posted below
4. make your own ringtone, search for mp3 file that you want. download free ringtone converter or any audio converter it's will do for you. but it's ilegal. if you want legit content then you have to pay.

Ok here is how you can make free ringtones 1)Download a trial version of virtual Dj ( I like it because you can adjust size and sound quality) 2)Choose songs you like to use for making ringtones ( songs should be downloaded on your pc) 3)Just put songs in virtual Dj and cut the parts from the song you like and here you have a free ringtone ( it may take some time to figure out how to do it at first but it definitely worth the time) 4)Download you ringtones to your phone using usb cable or Bluetooth if you have it. 5)Virtual dj trial version works for 20 days, so just uninstall it after that.
